GARSONS Expeditions has brought together the best in journeys and safaris that southern Africa has to offer.

We are privileged to host guests throughout southern Africa: South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Swaziland, Namibia & Mozambique are all part of our range. Garsons can accommodate groups of any number.. We strive to maintain the “personal touch” in every group we escort. For travellers from North America we offer fully escorted service from JFK Airport in New York.
These expeditions are run on a private, exclusive basis and journeys are tailor made to each client’s needs. If special interest groups call for academic input, botanists, ethno-botanists, anthropologists and archaeologists can be called upon to provide a specialist’s viewpoint. Our objective is to provide guests with detailed and interesting itineraries that reflect, wherever possible, their needs, wants and desires, culminating in unforgettable “once in a lifetime” vacations.

South Africa is rich in history, pre-history and more recently, World Heritage Sites. According to certain experts, southern Africa offers some of the finest Stone Age rock art in the world. We know the sites!

If you are interested in Wildlife, South Africa offers encounters from Aardvark to Zebra. Garsons can take you to the vastness of Kruger Park, Hluhluwe/iMfolozi, Addo Elephant Park, the Waterberg and any of the excellent private game reserves that dot the South African landscape. Culture? We’ve got it covered from Afrikaner to Zulu, all vibrantly presented by our in-field Guides. Their passionate love for our country comes through with every word. Our Guides all have specific areas of expertise. Their knowledge spans the prolific mammal and birdlife of the region, Bushman stone-age rock painting, the Anglo-Zulu and Anglo-Boer Wars, to Zulu history and culture. A particularly absorbing aspect of Zulu culture and social structure is in the arena of indigenous, traditional healing. Greg Garson has an intense personal interest in this subject. Commendation Letters

The following letters were written to and about Greg Garson’s former Company – Hilton Chalet Tours & Safaris. The Company name was later changed to overcome reluctance on the part of local Hotel chains to deal with an entity bearing “Hilton” as part of its name… However, Greg has brought to Garsons Expeditions every bit of the charm, expertise, and professional attention to detail described in the letters below.
